Ingredients
- 500g chicken — leg pieces or breast pieces, depending on availability
- 2 medium onions, finely chopped
- 2 medium tomatoes, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 3 tbsp oil
- 2–3 tbsp Bharat Chicken Gravy Masala
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp chopped coriander
Method
1. Prepare the base:
Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook until the raw smell disappears.
2. Make the gravy:
Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric and salt. Cook until the tomatoes soften and the oil starts separating.
3. Add the masala:
Add Bharat Chicken Gravy Masala and mix well. Cook for 1–2 minutes.
4. Add the chicken:
Add the chicken pieces and mix well until they are evenly coated with the masala. Cook for 5–7 minutes.
5. Cook:
Add 1 cup water, cover and cook on medium flame until the chicken is completely cooked and the gravy reaches your desired consistency.
6. Serve:
Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot with roti, naan, paratha or rice.
