Dal Gosht

Ingredients:

  • 1 small tomato, diced

  • 1 medium-sized onion, sliced

  • 100 grams chana dal, soaked for 2 hours

  • 2 tablespoons oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds

  • 50 grams BHARAT DAL GOSHT MASALA

  • 300 grams mutton

  • Coriander leaves, for garnish

  • Fried onion flakes, for garnish

  • Water, as required

Method:

  • Soak 100 grams of chana dal for 2 hours.

  • Boil the soaked dal in a pressure cooker and set aside.

  • Slice 1 medium-sized onion and dice 1 small tomato.

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pressure cooker.

  • Add 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds and let them splutter.

  • Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.

  • Add diced tomatoes and 300 grams of mutton; mix well.

  • Add 50 grams of BHARAT DAL GOSHT MASALA and cook for 2 minutes.

  • Pour in water as needed, close the lid, and simmer on low flame until mutton is tender.

  • Once cooked, add the boiled chana dal to the mutton.

  • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

  • Serve hot with fried onion flakes and rice.
